Recently, I received a shipment from one of my favorite sales associate, Tressa at the Chanel Studio at Nordstrom Seattle. The nice thing about a contact at a Chanel Studio is that these locations get the entire Chanel line, even those items that sometimes only appear on Chanel Boutiques. With my order, Tressa tucked in a little gift with my purchase that absolutely charmed me. Sometimes Chanel does things that are so intriguing, useful, and smart that my love for them is renewed tenfold.
This time, Tressa included a tiny little spring metal bookmark in the iconic Chanel Camellia shape. As you probably already know, this was Coco Chanel’s favorite flower and it appears as a theme throughout the company’s designs. It has a tiny “CC” stamped on the top of the marker. Here it is in use, clipped to the top of a book mark that I got from Marc Jacob’s bookmarc boutique in New York City. Adorable!
As someone who reads lots of books, and actually uses (and loves) bookmarks, this gift could not be more perfect or more thoughtful. Thank you Chanel (and Tressa!)
